Half Day Horseback Wine Tour
- About 5 hours
Our half Day wine tour takes us across 3 wine farms. With absolutely spectacular views and diverse countryside this is a truly magnificent outing! Reasonable riding skills are needed as you will be trotting and cantering.
The tour sets off from the Pink Geranium Nursery. We ride on Joostenberg Wine Estate before crossing over the motorway (via a bridge) and on to De Meye Wine Estate. From there we cross over to Muldersvlei where we ride over the hill and onto Arra Wine Estate.
The views are truly spectacular with a backdrop of Table Mountain. We regularly see breeding pairs of South-Africa's national bird, the Blue Crane, as well as some small antelope.
Once we get to Arra Estate we will untack the horses and enjoy our lunch overlooking the valley towards Table Mountain.
We include a gourmet picnic, which guests enjoy from a lookout on top of the mountain. The picnic is jam packed with locally sourced ham, cheese, bread, olives and salad and a bottle of wine between 2 guests (please contact us with any special dietary requirements).
After lunch guests have the option of enjoying a wine tasting inside the winery, after which we slowly head back to the Pink Geranium Nursery.
The tour leaves Pink Geranium Nursery at 10am and aim to get back at around 14.30pm.

Wonderful experience. I took my grandkids. Louise gave them an educational class on horses and allowed them to clean and brush one of the horses. 😊
Fantastic place! The horses are very kind and well-behaved, and they are not like your average “tour-horse”, they are much better! 5 stars to Louise and the sweet horses!!
Wow! What an incredible experience! Breath taking scenery, extremely well behaved horses and Louise was a wonderful guide. Loved every moment! Can't wait to come ride here again !
I love going horse riding at the Pink Geranium. Riding through the vineyards is always so peaceful. The horses are super happy and healthy!
Really enjoyed my ride here! Horses were very well trained, the views are beautiful and the guide Louise was awesome! Will definitely be returning
